- Week 5
The focus of this week’s program is about inner balance. Balance with respect the ebb and flow of your energy, hormones, blood-oxygen and all other important elements of your pregnancy. Embryo development focusing on the three important layers of growth: The spinal cord, the heart and circulatory system and the lungs and digestive system. We also offer ways to strengthen feelings of abundance and gratitude.
- Week 6
We start this program with a visualization on the abundance inside our body that is ever-expanding and provides for a feedback loop so all systems work together harmoniously. This abundance gives rise to the perfection and growth happening inside. Visualization exercise of seeing your baby’s face, which is starting to emerge and heart is beating 80 times per minute. We focus on ways to reduce nausea or other uncomfortable side effects from the pregnancy.
- Week 7
We begin first with a visualization exercise of the baby: growth of brain cells, about the size of a blueberry, and that everything is happening just as it should. Visualizing the infinity of communication between hypothalamus and baby/uterus/placenta. Learn the art of breathing, leaving behind a perfect state of balance and health, minimizing nausea or any other discomfort.
- Week 8
With a focus on the inner energy and movement of blood-oxygen, we “fill up” our hands with love and abundance and then place our hands over abdomen and sending love to baby. We see the size of the baby to be about a raspberry and growing arms, legs, eyelids, etc. We use visualization exercises again to address any uncomfortable side effects and working through them by using breathing exercises.
- Week 9
We begin this week’s program with finding sense of peace and deep inner relaxation by knowing that we are exactly where we are meant to be right here, right now in this grand tapestry of life. This will help in any sense of anxiety by strengthening feelings of control. We are meant to be exactly where we are; everything that has happened in your life has led you to this perfect moment. As we do in Week 8, we do another “placing of the hands” exercise on your lower abdomen, “embracing” your uterus/womb, which strengthens feelings of connection with your baby.
- Week 10
We start with an intense visualization of expansion, harmony and balance, even coming up with a symbol that would represent what that would mean for you: like an expanding balloon, a flower opening, or a growing plant coming up out of fertile soil. Feeling the openness and connectedness and sense of gratitude. Visualization exercise of the baby includes he/she size (strawberry), and seeing he/she actually moving their arms and legs. Organs are fully formed. We also do an exercise to address exhaustion and not being able to sleep well.
- Week 11
Visualizing the baby (or babies, which we make reference to throughout) being about 1.5 inches long, hands that can now open and close, tooth buds appear, bones begin to harden, kicking, and stretching. We pause to feel a growing sense of gratitude for the incredible process by which the “bloom” is happening inside of us. We offer a visualization exercise to help with healthy eating and making great choices, as well as the perfect flow of energy inside. We sense these feelings of gratitude multiplying.
- Week 12
This week’s program offers an exercise that focuses on increasing the feelings of connectedness with the baby, maybe even using a talisman as a symbol to strengthen this feeling of connectedness, of feeling at one with the baby growing inside. We can see the baby curling his or her toes, making sucking motions with his mouth, and being about the size of a lime.
- Week 13
We focus on the incredible milestone that you have reached and celebrate the end of first trimester. We offer a visualization exercise in accepting family and community support. We focus on having this loving energy softly expand the uterine cavity, as it envelops the placenta as well so it becomes rich and healthy with nutrients. Focusing on the baby’s growth and development, expansion of uterine cavity, placenta growth.
- Month 4
We take a journey inside the uterus to visualize the very round and organic shape, sensing the color, the light and the warmth. Baby (or babies!) will grow from 3.5 inches to 5.0 inches to about the size of a large mango over the month. We picture all kinds of facial expressions from squinting to smiling, and maybe even thumb-sucking. Eyelids still fused shut, but he/she can sense light. Liver is functioning and spleen producing red blood cells. You might be starting to show, and can now detect baby’s sex. Lots of hormones that are building that we can help to balance.
- Month 5
We focus again that everything happening inside is in perfect balance, and we can even sense the loving energy being received back from the baby. Visualizing baby growth: skeleton changing from cartilage to bone, umbilical cord is growing stronger and thicker. He/she will grow from 5 ounces to 3/4 of a pound and to about 10 inches head to heel, or about the size of a banana. She can move her joints and her sweat glands are starting to develop. Sensory development is exploding, brain designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. Might be able to hear your voice now. Arms and legs are in the right proportion to the rest of the body now. Also, if you haven’t already felt him/her move, you will start to more readily now. Eyebrows and lids are visible.
- Month 6
Baby growth: Starting month at 1 pound and about 11 inches from head to bottom, to 14 inches from head to heel and ends the month weighing about 2 pounds and is about 14 inches from head to heel. Pancreas has begun to work. Gaining cute little baby fat, wrinkled skin begins to smooth out and starting to look like a newborn. She’s growing more hair on the head. Eyesight is developing as well. We start to visualize the future, sex of baby, confidence in being a mother and all that entails. Comes from a deeper, innate place that exists in all of us.
- Month 7
Baby growth: Starts month weighing in almost to 2 pounds, and is about 14.2 inches long with legs extended. He/she is beginning to sleep and wake at regular intervals, opening and closing him/her eyes, and perhaps sucking him/her thumb or fingers. With more brain tissue developing, the baby is very active now. We offer visualization exercises on balance, thoughts of happiness, relaxing and expanding.
- Month 8
Starts the month off measuring over 16 inches long and weighing over 3 pounds and will end the month … 18 inches and weigh over 5 pounds. He/she can turn from side to side and his arms, legs and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath the skin. We feel it getting snug inside the uterus…most of the basic physical developments are now complete. He’ll spend the next few weeks putting on weight. We also spend time really visualizing in great detail how we would desire the birthing process to unfold. This allows for strengthening of feelings of control and confidence for a pain-free – even a pleasurable – delivery.
- Month 9
We focus the last program before listening to the Happy Birth program – getting into great detail surrounding the birthing process. We focus on empowerment, lessening of fear, increasing levels of patience. We feel an expansion that allows light, love and joy into every fiber of our being. We focus on optimism and excitement knowing that you will be holding your baby in your arms very soon. We practice on deep breathing techniques, sensing our breathe as being almost magical in its ability to allow us to physically relax as much as possible. We fully entertain the idea that the birthing process can – and should be – a fully enjoyable experience. Rehearsal through visualization of the birthing process that allows for feelings of control. We also help with specific visualizations of having the baby in a head down position.
